The Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (HSITP) covers an area of 87.7 hectares, and is a one-of-a-kind I&T park conjoining with Shenzhen’s I&T zone. It will be the focal point for the development of 6 pillar industries - life and health, AI & data science, new energy, new materials, mircoelectrics and robotics2.

The development of HSITP is divided into two phases. The main works for the first three Buildings of HSITP have officially completed. The first batch of buildings includes the topped-out buildings as well as a completed talent accommodation building3.

San Tin Technopole & Northern Metropolis University Town Meeting Place for Innovative Minds

The San Tin Technopole is expected to provide about 210 hectares of land for innovation and technology, adjoining the innovation and technology zones in Shenzhen’s Huanggang and Futian areas. It is projected to become a hub for an innovation and technology cluster, generating synergies with Shenzhen I&T Zone and creating high‑quality employment opportunities. 4

The government has reserved a total of about 90 hectares of land in the Northern Metropolis for the development of the Northern Metropolis University Town, with the earliest sites expected to become available for use between 2026 and 2030. 5

The Northern Link Kwu Tung Station is scheduled for completion in 2027. The main line is in the planning and design phase, and the other stations are scheduled for completion in 2034 to support the development of the Northern Metropolis2.
Spur Line will originate from the proposed San Tin Station, passing through the Chau Tau and The Loop Stations, and connecting to the Huanggang Port3.
The Eastern Extension will begin at Kwu Tung Station and extend to Ping Che, passing through various development nodes in the New Territories North New Town (including Lo Wu /Man Kam To)3.
Northeast New Territories Line
(Under Planning)
Connecting Heung Yuen Wai and Fanling Station of the East Rail Line via Ping Che and other areas, facilitating public access to the Heung Yuen Wai boundary control point and providing an interchange with the East Rail Line3.
